Sign-in methods and devices.

Two-step sign-in

On

When you sign in with a password we always ask for a second step: the sign-in key on your device or your authenticator app, or a code we email you if you have not set one up. When you sign in with a link we email you, opening that link is the second step.

  • Add a sign-in key on this device

This phone or computer then confirms it is you with Face ID, a fingerprint or its screen lock. No password is sent. Works on iPhone and Android.

  • Authenticator app

On. An app on your phone shows a new 6-digit code to type at each sign-in.

  • Recovery codes

10 of 10 left. Each code works once, to sign in if you lose your phone or sign-in key.
